Join us at Ski Cooper at 1:30 p.m. as we celebrate our 10th Mountain heritage with our Annual Ski Down. There will be a parade of flags midday led by 10th Mountain Division soldiers and their descendants.
These U.S. Army soldiers trained at cold, high Cooper Hill and nearby Camp Hale in the early 1940s, at the Army’s only camp dedicated to training soldiers for winter mountain warfare. The brave ski troopers helped turn the tide of World War II in the mountains of Italy and later returned to launch Colorado’s modern-day ski industry. Join us in honoring these brave men!
