Dark Sky Program at Twin Lakes

Are you intrigued about the night sky? Ever wondered about stories behind the stars? Join Joan from the Forest Service for a safe night hike and some stargazing on the shores of Twin Lakes. Learn how to see and hik in the dark. Listen to stories of the past and present and learn how to reduce light pollution!
Children must come with an adult for these free, fun programs. Please dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes, bring a camp chair or blanket and a headlamp that has a red (or low-light color) setting. Please install the app “Stellarium” on your phone prior to coming.
Meet at Red Rooster Boat Ramp Day Use Parking Lot off of Hwy 82 at Sunset. This is on the Upper Lake at the turn in for the White Star Campground, Interlaken Boat Tours and Canoe/Kayak Rentals. Go all the way down to the boat ramp parking.
