It’s that time of year… CDT SOBO TRAIL DAZE is almost here!

Featuring a quiz show hosted by Rafaél of Leadvelo Bicicasa, a shared talk by Flyby and Earlybird, films by Twerk, and a Spanish language group hike lead by Zelzin. All programming is free and bilingual, and is presented with the support of the Leadville Tourism Panel and the Continental Divide Trail Coalition (CDTC).

• Tuesday, September 6th – 7pm to 9pm at Zero Day Coffee

Zero Day Coffee and CDT SOBO TRAIL DAZE presents five films by trail star Tommy Cory ‘TWERK IN THE DIRT’! Featuring short looks into the lives of Zelzin Aketzalli, Justin Helmcamp, Josh Sheets, Gabriel Vasquez and Alexix Martin these films present a diverse and insightful look into trail life. BYOB

• Wednesday, September 7th – 10am at Get Outdoors Leadville/Tennessee Pass Trailhead

A Spanish language group hike hosted by Zelzin Aketzalli.  Meet to carpool at Get Outdoors Leadville (GOL) on the Colorado Mountain College (CMC) Campus for a leisurely hike on the CDT from the Tennessee Pass trailhead.

• Wednesday, September 7th – 6pm to 9pm at The Golden Burro

A talk about art and fastest known times (FKT) followed by a panel discussion about access and equity in outdoor recreation. 

Female fastest known time (FKT) thru hikers Nika ‘Early Bird’ Meyers and Mikaela Osler ‘FlyBy’ will lead a talk about FKTs and arts.

Then moderator, Rafaél of Leadvelo Bicicasa, will lead a panel discussion on access and equity in outdoor recreation featuring panel members: Nika ‘Early Bird’ Meyers (FKT female hiker and artist) , Mikaela Osler ‘FlyBy’ (FKT female hiker), Tyler Lau ‘The Prodigy’ (first BIPOC calendar year Triple Crown Hiker), Zelzin Aketzalli (first Mexican Triple Crown Hiker) and Vanessa Saldivar (Executive Director of Get Outdoors Leadville)

• Thursday, September 8th – 11am to 1pm at Colorado Mountain College’s Timberline Trails

Easy times trail run on the CMC Timberline Trails.  Meet at the Get Outdoor’s Leadville building at 11 am for an early 4 mile trot on the local trails.  Sponsored by the Cloud City Wheelers bicycle club.

• Thursday, September 8th – 7pm to 9pm at Pastime Saloon

Trail Daze Trivia hosted by Sara Edwards & Rafá from Leadvelo Bicicasa.  Win fabulous prizes and a ton of trail clout in trail and local/lake county centered trivia.
