Join the Irish Network of Colorado for the official ribbon cutting of the Leadville Irish Miners’ Memorial – In memory of the over 1,300 Irish immigrants buried in unmarked graves – a symbol of their humanity, their lives and their struggles, in hope that their stories might continue…

Remarks from dignitaries, reading of the names and unveiling.  Along with music and cemetery tours.

• 6:30 – 8pm From Coffin Ships to Pauper Graves: Yesterday’s Leadville Irish and Today’s Immigrant Community Exhibit Opening and Reception

Saturday 9/16 –

• 10am – 2pm Naming the Unnamed : The Leadville Irish Miners’ Memorial Unveiling: 10 am – 2pm at Evergreen cemetery. Remarks from dignitaries, reading of the names and unveiling.  Along with music and cemetery tours.
• 3pm – St. Patrick’s Practice Parade on Harrison Ave
• 5 – 7pm – Open House at Tabor Opera House
• 7pm – From Cork to Colorado – A Musical Review at the Tabor Opera House
