Turquoise Lake Saturday Programs

Come join us at the Maid of Erin (sites 3 & 4) day use area for weekly fun, free programing at 4pm.

Bring your own chair and get ready to learn.

Saturday, July 23rd – Topic – Bears and Mountain Lions – Oh My!

What if you see a bear in your campground? Are you worried about mountain lions in the area?  Wildlife Biologist Kale Volle will teach us about these wild and beautiful animals and what is the right thing to do to keep yourself and them safe, if and when you meet them face to face in the wild.

Event is at Turquoise Lake Maid of Erin day use area, sites 3 and 4.  Coming from Leadville on County Road 4, turn right just before the Sugar Loafin’ Dam on County Road 9 and then take the first left turn toward the Matchless Boat Ramp/Silver Dollar Campground.  Maid of Erin Day use area turn out is on the left side of the road – program will be held at sites 3 & 4.  Don’t forget to bring a chair to sit in.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.
