Bring your own chair and get ready to learn.

Saturday, September 3rd – Topic – Lend a Hand, Care for the Land!

Do you enjoy having dinner and beverage by the fire?  Do you know how long that paper plant and can or bottle stays around on the ground?  Forest Service Tech, Joan Veilleux, will teach us what is the right thing to do with those bottles, cans, TP and other trash we all bring camping.  It’s your forest, help us to keep it beautiful and safe!

Event is at Turquoise Lake Maid of Erin day use area, sites 3 and 4.  Coming from Leadville on County Road 4, turn right just before the Sugar Loafin’ Dam on County Road 9 and then take the first left turn toward the Matchless Boat Ramp/Silver Dollar Campground.  Maid of Erin Day use area turn out is on the left side of the road – program will be held at sites 3 & 4.  Don’t forget to bring a chair to sit in.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.

*program may be cancelled if there is rain or lightning
