DESCRIPTION:This is it. The Race of All Races. Where it all began. \nIn 1983\, 45 tough-minded runners braved 100 miles of high-altitude\, extreme Rocky Mountain terrain — starting at 10\,200 feet\, climbing to 12\,500 feet and running into global endurance history. Today\, the Life Time Leadville Trail 100 RUN presented by La Sportiva is one of the oldest\, most storied endurance running events in the world — with not one\, but two climbs on the crux of the course: Hope Pass (12\,500 feet). Every year\, a select handful of gritty\, gutsy and determined runners make the pilgrimage to Cloud City to Race Across the Sky and take their shot at etching their name among the Leadville Legendary. The red carpet awaits.

SUMMARY:Colorado High School Cycling League Race Weekend
DESCRIPTION:August 28th – 30th High School Race Events held on the Timberline Trails behind Colorado Mountain College. \nThis high-altitude course includes a mix of singletrack\, doubletrack\, and dirt roads that include portions of the Colorado Mountain College Leadville cross-country trail system and Lake County trails maintained by the Cloud City Wheelers. \nThe course is a 6.2 mile loop with 620 feet of climbing per lap. Running clockwise\, the course starts and finishes at Colorado Mountain College Leadville. We are extremely grateful to Bruce Kelly and to Sterling Mudge of the Cloud City Wheelers for their course design and consultation. \nFriday 2pm to 6:30pm \nSaturday 7am to 6:30pm \nSunday 7am to 6:30pm
