McGinnis Cottage Inn
The McGinnis Cottage Inn invites you to step back in time to an era of Victorian charm. Located in Leadville’s National Historic District, this fabulous Victorian-style hotel was restored to its peak of elegance just a few years ago. It was built in the late 1800s from the timbers of Leadville’s original Ice Palace by renowned Victorian architect Herbert C. Dimick.
The B&B styled bedrooms feature king-size beds with the added comfort of down mattresses and memory foam top pads. The rooms are designed for privacy, and the living room and dining room are common areas where guests can gather for fun, giving a comfortable “at home” feeling.
In the summer, the hotel garden is bursting with flowers and a cool breeze is coming in from the south. The sun is shining almost every day here in Leadville, but the humidity is very low, a real change to the hot humid summers in most of the country. In the winter, goose down comforters made for cuddling keep you cozy.
