Memorial Day has arrived and it is officially summer in Colorado’s high country! Visit Leadville-Twin Lakes for zipline adventures, scenic train rides, fascinating museums, live music, delicious food, comfortable cabins, great shopping, and more.

Explore the Rich History

In Leadville, you’ll find a variety of museums open in the summer! Visit them and experience the Colorado mining boom days, Victorian lifestyles, and today’s arts and culture in an inspiring historic setting. Most are located in the downtown area and can be easily combined with a self-guided Leadville walking tour. 

Looking for history with a view? Hike or bike along the Mineral Belt Trail going through the historic mining district or drive along the historic Route of the Silver Kings.

In Twin Lakes? Take a boat, kayak, canoe or SUP across the lake to the historic Interlaken Resort and Dexter Cabin.

Quench your thirst in a historic saloon. Stop by the Silver Dollar Saloon and Pastime Saloon in Leadville and the Twin Lakes Inn & Saloon in Twin Lakes.
