Visitors to Leadville can stop by and receiveĀ a Temporary Library Card with a refundable deposit. Photo ID is required and it expires after 3 months but has no limit on the number of books you can check out. Alternatively, we also offer an Easy Access Card that does not require photo ID or a deposit, but does require multiple contact methods, is limited to 3 books for check out, and expires after one year. Visitors can even check out puzzles from our puzzle library for free!

Take a self-guided tour through history! Our local history department is filled with locally focused historical books, references, photographs, and records for your personal research. A member of our local history team can help direct you to the best materials for your project in our historic Leadville Room.

We also offer free internet access and a quiet place to read while you’re browsing our collections of books and magazines for all ages. Additionally, we can make copies, scans, and faxes for you for a nominal fee. Our lobby’s bulletin board and our socials are great resources to check for current events. Stop by anytime!
