      On Leadville’s famous Mineral Belt Trail, you can see the tops of the towering Sawatch mountains and remnants of 1880s silver mines, all on a paved, 11.6 mile loop around town. Find local bike rentals!

      Did you know the Guggenheims made their fortune in Leadville? See the headframe where they struck the motherlode, original cribbing and pools from the mining days, and unobstructed views of Colorado’s two highest peaks, Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive.

      This summer and fall, come hike, bike, or run this scenic trail. The route is also accessible under the Americans with Disabilities Act. With numerous trailheads around town to let you choose your distance, the Mineral Belt Trail is perfect for people of all ages and ability levels. Class I and II eBikes are permitted.

      Winter on the Trail
