      Why It’s a Gem

      Tennessee Pass Nordic Center Trail MapYou’ll adore the ease and flexibility of the Tennessee Pass Nordic Center trails!

      Whatever your ability level or favorite mode of winter travel, there’s something for you—set track, wide skate lanes, and snowshoe trails. Most trails are green (easy) or blue (moderate), with a couple rated black (difficult). Coming with a group? Everyone will find a trail to love!

      Explore rolling and forested trails like Fritz’s Freeway and The Woods, or open meadows with drop-jaw views on Fish Flats. Training for the Olympics? Incorporate a couple of climbs up Griz or Lung Burn.

      It’s a vast network of fun and challenging terrain for winter enthusiasts of all abilities. We’re confident you’ll run out long before the trails do!

      Perks

      Before or after your tour, warm up at the spacious Nordic Center overlooking the stunning Sawatch Mountains. Pick up a hot drink at our coffee bar, beer or wine, breakfast burritos or paninis, or warm soups and sandwiches. Sit by the toasty woodstove or relax on the large sunny deck!

      Care for a sit-down lunch or special dinner? For an unforgettable experience, you can ski or snowshoe one mile in to the Tennessee Pass Cookhouse, a delicious lunch or gourmet dinner in an off-grid yurt. Reservations required.

      Want to spend the night? You can do that here too, in a luxury Tennessee Pass sleep yurt! Sleep well in a log bed with a down comforter, in a yurt warmed by a soapstove woodstove. You can order room service or use your kitchenette, stocked with coffee, hot chocolate, and other warmers.

      Directions

      The Tennessee Pass Nordic Center is at the base of Ski Cooper, just nine miles NW of historic Leadville, Colorado. WARNING: DO NOT USE DIRECTIONS FROM A NAVIGATION SYSTEM that directs you to take County Road 19 or 18 to the Tennessee Pass Nordic Center or Cookhouse. The directions are incorrect, and you will get lost. Please use this Google Map and choose “Directions,” or call us at 719-486-8114 or 719-486-1750 to speak directly to Nordic Center staff.

      Parking

      Free parking is available in the lot at the Nordic Center.
