Group Forest Bathing Walk

August 5, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am

Group Forest Bathing Walks are open to the public and occur in small groups of up to eight participants. The walks are gentle and occur on mostly flat trails with some gradual elevation change at times. Typically only a short distance of less than a mile is covered. Most walks begin at or near the trailhead. Read the trail description when booking for more information.

Come experience the practice of forest bathing, inspired by the art of Shinrin Yoku, in the safe, healing presence of the forest in Leadville, Colorado. Forest bathing as a practice, leads to improved physical health and emotional well-being while deepening our relationship to ourselves and the natural world through intentional time in nature. This event will be facilitated by Brandee Boyd-Senters, a trained Forest Therapy and EcoTherapy Guide. During the forest bathing walk, participants will be guided through a series of sensory invitations while moving with the pace of nature. There will be opportunities for optional sharing circles during the walk. We will conclude the walk with a tea ceremony. The forest bathing walk will cover only a short distance, less than a mile, with plenty of time to rest along the way. There will also be a short hike from the trailhead to the starting point of the forest bathing walk.

The trail will be mostly flat with some areas of gradual elevation change. Please note that Leadville sits at high elevation at over 10,000 feet. Participants will be outdoors for the duration of the walk. Forest bathing walks occur rain, snow, or shine. Additional details about this walk will be provided after registration. Ages 18+ only.
