July 27, 2023As you enjoy the fabulous fall leaves, see what’s new at Twin Lakes, Colorado. Check out some news, and welcome some new businesses. Here are 7 great new things to enjoy at Twin Lakes!
1) Indy Pass Pies & Patio Food Court
Pizza with pizzazz, anyone? Stop by the new Indy Pass Pies for a tasty treat. You’ll find them at the new patio food court at the Twin Lakes Inn & Saloon. They join with Punky’s–serving burgers, BBQ, ribbon fries, grilled sandwiches, and more–to offer great food options seven days a week! You can also find adult beverages daily from the Twin Lakes Inn’s takeout bar, plus delicious dinners featuring Colorado and American cuisine.
2) Shooting Star Gallery
The Shooting Star Gallery, featuring fantastic works from exclusively Twin Lakes artists, has moved just down the road from its original location. You will now find it in the heart of Twin Lakes village. Turn between the Twin Lakes General Store and Twin Lakes Inn and go halfway up the block on County Road 26. You’ll still find the same beautiful art inside!
3) Stay Twin Lakes
Stay Twin Lakes are newly renovated cabins, formerly the WinMar cabins, in the heart of Twin Lakes Village. They are brought to you by the owners of SUP & Cycle, who can recommend great ways to enjoy the lakes. You’ll find these cabins to be a great getaway for outdoor recreation and romantic scenery, with a welcoming local scene.
4) Tenderfoot Shop @Twin Lakes and Tenderfoot Farm
Be sure to visit the new shop in Twin Lakes Village, the Tenderfoot Farm food market. You’ll love the pasture-raised meats, gifts, artisan food, coffee, tea bar and courtyard!
On the way to or from Twin Lakes, stop by Tenderfoot Farm for farm tours, offered daily through Sept. 10, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Bring home some goodies from the farm store. Find the farm at the junction of highways 82 and 24, at the turnoff to Twin Lakes.
5) Twin Lakes General Store
The Twin Lakes General Store, established in 1879, is celebrating its five-year anniversary this summer with its newest owner and shop dog Motu! Stop in for snacks, beverages, clothing, maps, books, souvenirs, a warm welcome, and much more.
6) Twin Lakes Roadhouse Lodge
The Twin Lakes Roadhouse Lodge has new owners who invite you to check out the renovations! Don’t miss the decks with comfy chairs and lake views. The Twin Lakes Roadhouse Lodge will be open for you to stay and enjoy the lakes year ‘round.
7) Twin Lakes to Stay Open All Year
After you’ve had your summer fun, come back again in fall and winter. Twin Lakes will be open with places to eat and stay year ‘round starting this year! You’ll find it a quiet escape after Independence Pass closes for the season in mid-fall. And you’ll see why winter in Twin Lakes is double the fun.
