Interlaken Fire Scar Tour

Arkansas River Collaborative Watershed and GARNA – Greater Arkansas River Nature Association are excited to be hosting another educational events!
The tour will cross the burn area, so participants should be prepared to get dirty! After the burn area tour, participants will have the option of continuing the hike to the historic Interlaken Resort site or return to the trailhead.
Join us on a guided tour through the Interlaken Fire burn area to learn how we’re working with partners to protect the Twin Lakes ecosystem from post-fire erosion and flooding. We’ll also discuss why this fire was less destructive than it could’ve been.
Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy – this tour crosses burn scar terrain.
Space is limited – registration required.
