Comedy Night at Tabor Opera House with Dan LaMorte – A benefit for Lake County wildfire relief

A special event to support the Lake County Business Resiliency Fund managed by Leadville/Lake County Economic Development Corporation.

Dan LaMorte is a stand-up comedian whose career has taken him from New York City’s top comedy clubs to theaters and festivals around the world. A regular at the legendary Comedy Cellar, he’s appeared on Comics Unleashed (CBS), Gotham Comedy Live, Red Eye, and Getting Doug with High. His 2024 Don’t Tell Comedy special has earned hundreds of thousands of views, and after being named a New Face at the Just for Laughs Festival, he has toured throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, the U.K., Australia, and Ireland.

Offstage, Dan’s life has taken an unexpected turn. After losing more than 190 pounds, he became an ultrarunner, and this summer he relocated from New York City to Leadville to train for the legendary Leadville Trail 100.

As Leadville has battled a difficult wildfire season and a challenging summer for local businesses, Dan wanted to give something back to the town that has welcomed him. This special performance at the Tabor Opera House is a fundraiser with all proceeds benefiting the Lake County Economic Business Resilience Fund—a chance to laugh together while supporting the place helping him chase one of the biggest goals of his life.
