Learn how to create a fire (and water)-wise “lean, clean, and green” defensible space within 100 feet of your homes, utilizing native plants and non-combustible materials.
Led by Susan Carter, CSU Extension Agent for Chaffee County. Susan was involved in helping landowners after the Pine Gulch Fire, was lead on the After the Disaster Guidebook, and has attended training for Home Ignition Zones. Susan is a certified arborist, QWEL certified, horticulturist, and has a Masters in Landscape Architecture.
