When there’s always too much month left at the end of the money…
When you can pay for gas or groceries but not both…
When two and three jobs still isn’t enough to make ends meet…
What do you do?
Each person’s experience with housing insecurity is unique, but we’re all in this together. After all, more than half of Americans are just one crisis away from becoming homeless – including in Lake County.
Throughout our local community, many of our neighbors are living paycheck to paycheck, cramming two and three families into a single housing unit, facing eviction, and sleeping in cars or tents because they either can’t find housing at ALL or can’t afford the housing they DO find.
Join FREIGHT and the Advocates of Lake County on Friday, May 17, at The Yak. You’ll hear real-life stories of homelessness and housing insecurity from community members who’ve lived through it – or who are navigating it right now. Plus, you’ll have the chance to share your own story of housing insecurity and how the affordable housing crisis affects you and the people you care about.
Problems happen in the community, and so do solutions. Join us, and let’s work together to solve the affordable housing crisis.
