La Plata Peak sitting between Lake and Chaffee Counties is the 5th highest peak in the Rocky Mountains. This class 2 14,000 foot peak can accessed off of highway 82 on the La Plata Gulch Trail.

Closures in place include Hagerman Pass, Turquoise Lake, Halfmoon Road, Golf Course and Fish Hatchery.
