New Year’s Eve & Holiday Fun

November 17, 2019

Start 2020 a little closer to the stars, with fun New Year’s celebrations in Leadville and Twin Lakes, Colorado! Escape to North America’s highest city for outdoor fun this New Year’s!

SKI COOPER

To celebrate the holidays, bring the whole family to Ski Cooper! It’s known for its laid-back, family-friendly vibe and affordable prices. Don’t miss the 19 new double black diamond runs in its new Tennessee Creek Basin. Just as soon as this steep terrain fills with all-natural snow!

SKI-IN COOKHOUSE & SLEEP YURTS AT TENNESSEE PASS

Tennessee Pass is now open for the winter season! For a special holiday treat, cross-country ski or snowshoe a mile to this unique, off-grid cookhouse. Then enjoy a delicious four-course gourmet meal. You’ll feast on local ingredients, with a well-chosen wine list. Or come for lunch Saturdays and Sundays during the winter season.

For a memorable holiday getaway, book a luxury sleep yurt for the night. Stay warm and comfortable with soapstone wood stoves, down comforters, handcrafted log beds, and kitchenettes. Passes to 27 km of groomed cross-country ski and fat biking trails come with the yurt, and you can rent your equipment there.

SHOP LOCAL

Shop small! This holiday, shop for unique, locally made gifts that your friends and family will love, while supporting independently owned stores. Leadville offers a quiet, historic setting, far from the crowds at the mall.

RELAX AND STAY A WHILE!

Build a weekend around your holiday fun! In the highest-elevation city in North America, fresh snow and gingerbread-style Victorian houses put you in the holiday spirit. Affordable prices leave more in your wallet for holiday gifts.

For a peaceful escape from the holiday rush, book a stay in a B&B, hotel or motel, or vacation rental. Relax in our quiet, small town. Enjoy great diningstellar skiing; and a full array of winter sports, from dogsledding to ice skating to sledding and ziplining, and everything in between.
