See A Virtual Exhibit – Copper: Mineral Of The Future

Did you know the Statue of Liberty contains more than 62,000 pounds of copper? Or that the average American uses 1,800 pounds of copper in their lifetime? Take a virtual tour of a new exhibit at the National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum to learn more about this fascinating metal. This exhibit is bilingual, English and Spanish.
For more than 10,000 years, copper has been used in architecture, weaponry, jewelry, and coinage. Soon, the metal will have a role as we shift to renewable energies. From electrical wiring to computer chips to critical components of electrical vehicles, innovative uses are constantly being found for copper.
