Ale Yak Food & Beer Garden

2017 1/2 Poplar Street in Leadville, next to the Columbine Inn & Suites

Pull up a picnic table at the Ale Yak Food & Beer Garden for delicious brews, tasty hot food from HotHeads Chicken, and one of the best views in town. Check our Facebook page for frequent celebrations and programs like yoga and qigong. Open through Oct. 22, 2024, and again May 2025.

Visit the new “Honey Hole” taproom to sample refreshing mead, one of the world’s oldest alcoholic beverages, made from honey. Try Cloud City’s many varieties, such as lehua blossom (off-dry), Palisade peach with Colorado honey (dry), and ginger lavender with edible glitter (semi-sweet). Cloud City also offers non-alcoholic carbonated teas with hops.

Reopened and under new ownership, this longtime locals’ favorite features a wide variety of Mexican and Tex Mex dishes. Savor legendary sizzling fajitas, stuffed sopapillas, award-winning margaritas, and much, much more! Order a drink from the original 1938 bar. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
