Leadville’s Irish Weekend 2026

Join us for a beautiful weekend in Leadville celebrating her Irish heritage! Events include musical events, play, memorial, dedications, and even a practice St. Patrick’s Day parade that has been running for over 70 years!
Friday 9/18:
7pm – Sunset “Sing Song” gathering at The Irish Miners’ Memorial in Evergreen Cemetery
Saturday 9/19:
11am – Denis Hasty Memorial at the Elks Lodge. Denis was a key Leadville organizer for the memorial, a Vietnam Veteran and one of the last East Side Irish. The Community is welcome at his memorial Saturday morning to show their support for our friend.
12pm – Practice St Patrick’s Day Parade along historic Harrison Ave starting at 9th street heading south – all are welcome to join in
2pm to 5pm – Gathering at The Old Church, 801 Harrison Ave
4:30pm – Reading and signing of Molly “MK” Sturdevant’s book “The Sleepers,” at the Healy House Museum. The book takes place in Leadville during the silver panic of 1893. Molly worked closely on the research and development of both the Healy House’s exhibit Unearthed and the Irish Miners Memorial. The reading and signing will be free and copies of the book available to purchase in the gift shop.
7pm – Young Dubliners concert at the Tabor Opera House
9pm – Meet and Greet at the Silver Dollar Saloon following the performance
10pm – Sing song at The Irish Miners’ Memorial in Evergreen Cemetery
Sunday 9/20:
11am – Convocation and ceremony at The Irish Miners’ Memorial in Evergreen Cemetery.
