Wear a life jacket on the water

Personal flotation devices are required for all boaters (including paddleboarders). Cold alpine water can rapidly reduce muscle function and reaction time, making it difficult to self-rescue even for strong swimmers. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that flotation devices be worn at all times while on the water, not just carried onboard.
