You’ll dig our mining heritage!

Nuche Land

We would like to acknowledge that the Nuche people, also known as the Utes, were the original inhabitants of this land, and we invite you to learn more at our blog.

When our summer season starts, you can take a tour at the historic Tabor Opera House. Explore museums, peer deep into the Matchless Mine shaft, hear miners’ stories on a customized tour, ride your bike or ski past old mines, or take a boat to an abandoned resort. Walk Victorian downtown Leadville and the historic village of Twin Lakes. Find World War II foundations at Camp Hale, feed the fish at the historic hatchery, follow a long-time rail route on the Leadville scenic train, and more.
