Why It’s a Gem

A 1 mile loop around the Hayden Meadows Reservoir is an lower elevation hike along flat, wide trails. The wetland area is great for views of Mt. Massive, Mt Elbert, bird watching and fishing access. This section of the Arkansas River Headwaters Recreation Area allows for easy access and can be made longer following trails south along the Arkansas River.
