Why It’s a Gem

Native Lake Trail starting from Hagerman Pass Road climbs up above treeline for spectacular views, alongside a creek and a decline to an marshy alpine lake.

Be sure to keep track of the location of the trail you arrived at the lake from, this trail continues on toward the Leadville Fish Hatchery along the Highline Trail.
