Directions to Trailhead
Colorado Mountain College Trailhead– From Harrison Avenue head south on Hwy 24, following the curve of the road around. Turn left on College Road (across from the Ranger Station and McWethy Drive). Continue to the college where the road ends. Boulder Trail Access – Go to the very top of the road, don’t turn at the two entrances to the college on the right. Park along this looped dirt drive.
Dutch Henry Trailhead – From Harrison Avenue head south on Hwy 24, following the curve of the road around. Drive past the entrance to Colorado Mountain College and shortly after turn left into the dirt lot where you can see where the paved trail cross the road across from the car wash. Leave the parking lot heading west on the Mineral Belt Trail and watch for a singletrack trail cutoff after the historic structures to access Boondoggle trail, continue west at intersection.

Why It’s a Gem
These single track trails are located behind Colorado Mountain College. The Cloud City Wheelers built these to cater to all kinds of riders whether you are a beginner or expert. This trail system is perfect for designing your own ride over 12 miles of trails plus access to additional nearby trails including the paved Mineral Belt Trail. You can go out for a test ride for ten minutes or go play for three hours. These trails are enjoyed year round and play host to some of the state’s best winter groomed singletrack.

Front Side Trails Include:
Boulders – 1.9 miles – 201 feet elevation gain – Boulders goes from frontside to backside with an easier climb
Boonedoggle – 1 mile – 91 feet elevation gain – heading north from CMC this loop trail can be used to connect to Dutch Henry Trailhead and the Mineral Belt Trail
Giddy Up – 1.1 miles – 40 feet elevation gain – A great beginners trail connecting from the Mineral Belt Trail, Boulders and And Again
And Again – 0.7 miles – 49 feet elevation gain – An easy extension trail from Giddy Up and Where The Heck Am I?
Where the Heck Am I? – 0.5 miles – 16 feet elevation gain – This easy loop extends your ride from And Again
Perma Grin – 1.4 miles – 109 feet elevation gain – Perma Grin winds through the trees crossing over the Mineral Belt Trail and connects CMC to And Again
Slip N Slide – 1.5 miles – 48 feet elevation gain – Weave back and forth with sloped curves starting and ending on Boulders trail
Swoop – 0.6 miles – 71 feet – An easy fun connector trail from Boulders to Perma Grin
Backside Trails Include:
Boulders – 1.9 miles – 201 feet elevation gain – Boulders goes from frontside to backside with an easier climb
Cold Feet – 0.6 miles – 94 feet elevation gain – A climb back up following rides on Gold Digger or Wheeler’s Way
Old Chub – 0.3 miles – 25 foot elevation gain – A quick connector trail from Boulders to Wheeler’s Way
Gold Digger – 1.1 miles – 132 feet elevation gain – A flowy trail through the aspens, great fall ride!
Inspectah Deck – 0.3 miles – 75 feet elevation gain – A quick, more challenging jump trail with wooden features between Cold Feet and Wheeler’s Way
Wheelers Way – 1.4 miles – 217 feet elevation gain – A great loop with some awesome descents and views in either direction
Timberline Trails are a perfect make your own adventure. Maps and way finding signs are found along the trails but be sure to check maps before heading out because not all trails are accessible from the parking area with out connecting to other trails.
